IndiaInfo Obtains Online Music
License
IndiaInfo.com, a Bombay
based web portal network,
announced that
musicurry.com, its recently acquired affiliate portal is
the first Indian portal to obtain a license to host and
play Indian music online.
The Indian Performing Right Society, IPRS, and
Phonographic Performance Ltd, PPL, wings of the
Indian Music industry have granted musicurry.com the
first of its kind license to legally host a wide variety of
music.

artists, feel strongly about
artist welfare and respect
artist copyrights. We will now be working closely with
various companies and artists to help them maximize
the benefits of the Internet," said a member of the
musicurry.com team, Mandar Agashe.
Said IndiaInfo's president of content and ad network,
Sunil Rajshekhar, "The license not only gives
Indiainfo.com another feather in its cap but also
reinforces our commitment to our loyal Internet
audience. Indiainfo.com is committed to discipline on
the net regarding copyright issues and this license
reiterates our focus."
Musicurry.com is India's first online web radio. The
site promotes all forms of Indian music ranging from
Indipop to film music and regional music.
Musicurry.com was also the first Indian portal to
launch an online tutor 'Online Guruji' for budding
musicians. The site plans in the near future to diversify
into international rock music, which is likely to further
enhance its popularity.
