Bangalore - Country's leading Integrated Internet Portal, Indiainfo.com has become the first Horizontal Portal network in the Country to get the ISO 9001 certification. Perhaps, it was first in Asia or even in the World, the Portal said in a release here today.

To achieve world class standards and boost user confidence, the portal has set in motion a system of procedure in its day to day activities and the quality procedures had permeated across the board with highly defined roles and responsibilities for all employees. The certification had been provided by the German based TUV Rheinland for having established and applied a quality system for Design, Development and Maintenance of Portal Network.

Portal Chief Executive B G Mahesh said the certification had been obtained in a remarkably short duration. Chief Producer and Management Representative Namrata Shilpi said ISO had helped further streamline the Portal's processes to bring out the optimum productivity. Given the current market scenario this had helped in motivating the Indiainfo team, he added.
