Bangalore - Indiainfo.com, a leading Integrated Internet portal, has become the first Indian horizontal portal to get the ISO 9001 certification, informed an official release.

German-based TUV Rheinland has certified Indiainfo.com as an ISO 9001 company. According to the certification issued by TUV Rheinland, Indiainfo.com has established a quality system for design, development and maintenance of portal network. The quality procedures of Indiainfo.com were audited by a team of TUV Rheinland auditors. On the complete examination of the quality system followed by the portal, TUV Rheinland, a third party auditor conferred the certification.

In order to achieve the certification, Indiainfo.com had set in motion, a system of procedures in the day-to-day activities of the organization. "The ISO quality procedures have been permeated across the board with highly defined roles and responsibilities for each and every employee'" Indiainfo.com chief executive officer, B.G. Mahesh said.

He said that the certification helped the portal to further streamline the their processes in order to bring out maximum productivity. "Given the current market scenario, this streamlining has proven to be truly helpful and highly motivating for the Indiainfo team," he added.
